PEPE is a drug-free handheld airway physiotherapy device, Australian owned and manufactured.
This Positive Expiratory hand-held device works to clear mucus to increase lung expansion and reduce airway obstruction. The device uses a combination of Positive Expiratory Pressure (PEP) and Oscillations. The PEP opens up the the airways, loosening any closed and semi closed airways, while the Oscillating PEP helps to mobilise the mucus in the lungs and helps to move it up the airway. This combined action of expanding pressure and vibration in the lungs results in the mucus moving progressively up the airways so it can be coughed out naturally.
