Dr Feather is a Partner Physician with Queensland Respiratory Services. He graduated as a doctor from the University of NSW in 1984 and as a physician in 1991. He became a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians in 1996, also attaining a Graduate Diploma in Respiratory Science from Charles Sturt University in the same year.

He has practiced on the Gold Coast since 1994 and is presently Centre Director for Cystic Fibrosis at Gold Coast University Hospital and VMO at Pindara and Gold Coast Private Hospitals.

Dr Feather’s special areas of interest is Cystic Fibrosis.​

Amongst many other pursuits, he is also an active participant in academic teaching programs.
